These Scat crankshafts are made from the same strong aircraft-quality forging as standard-weight cranks, but have pendulum-cut counterweights to reduce rotating mass and oil windage. Scat Superlight crankshafts are perfect for engines wanting quicker rpm. These crankshafts feature profiled pendulum aero cut counterweights and have straight shot and chamfered oil holes. Scat crankshafts are nitride-hardened, with large radii on all journals for superior wear resistance, and use lightening holes in all rod throws. Scat cranks are CNC-machined for absolute tolerances and symmetry, offering ease of balance and reduced rotating weight. The lightest 4340 forged crankshaft available from SCAT. This is the ultimate crank for those wanting that extra edge for their high-horsepower motor.
