Ringmaster Ring Filing Jig - PN: COM-POW105080
Product Description
Long time racer Dino Campolito always felt that there should be a more precise way to file fit your piston rings. He used the same method everyone else does; file a little and check the fit, file a little and check, etc. Finally, in frustration he set about to invent a better system. The "Ringmaster" Ring Filing Jig allows you to remove an exact amount of material from the end of a piston ring. Once the zinc-plated steel jig is clamped in a vise or secured to a table, the desired shim(s) (.002"-.050") are secured in place under the ring stop. Then insert and secure the ring against the stop, move the stop plate out of the way and file ring until flush with ring jig. Kit includes jig, file and shims. Ringmaster Piston Ring Squaring Tools will add efficiency to any engine build-up. These hard anodized, aluminum tools push the ring a full .600" down the cylinder bore for accurate end gap measurement. The open design lets you reach through the tool and pull up on the ring for added accuracy. Several sizes and ranges are available, and all work on blocks with head studs installed.
