These 14 inch air cleaner housings are constructed from high grade aluminum and are of natural aluminum coloring. This kit features a 1/2 inch tall by 5-5/8 inch diameter carb O-ring seal that ensures a complete and secure seal to the carb, keeping unwanted dirt and debris out of your engine. These air cleaner housings accommodate a 14 in. diameter filter and can be used with 4 thru 6 inch filter heights.
This filter element is made in the USA. Unlike multi-layer gauze filters which can fray and release fiber particles into your engine, this filter uses two layers of tightly-interwoven cotton fabric. The 3 main benefits to woven cotton are the fact its thinner, holds oil better, and is stronger. Since its thinner, it allows better air flow without sacrificing filtration. The cotton holds the oil more evenly, and the medium is much stronger. Unlike gauze, you cannot wear a hole in woven cotton by rubbing it, and there is no way small bits of cotton can rip off since its interlocked with another piece.
This filter also features deeper air filter pleats which creates 20% more filtration surface than the leading brand filter on the market.
